My Boxing journey began in 2008 when I left Rehabilitation for Drug and Alcohol addiction and checked myself into a homeless shelter for men in recovery. It was then that I met my first and only boxing coach Ian Esientrager who taught me a trade and gave me direction in many areas of my life.
I wanted to progress in my boxing and compete at a level but, due to circumstances regarding my past, I was unable to. I did the next best thing: that was to become a coach and empower many others in this great sport, from youth to adults.
